The M-Coffee Table's proportions are determined by the Golden Section and Le Corbusier’s modular man. Conceived as a simple rectangular mass hollowed out at key points, the table is a study in architectural scale.
Steps are carved from one corner with a ‘room’ on the other, creating a recess for books and objet d’art. An oculus has been carved into the ceiling of this room, bringing light into its interior like a miniature Pantheon.
Timber options include limed, natural, smoked and black-stained oak, American walnut.
A waterborne polyurethane finish is wire brushed to a natural satin finish.
All our solid timbers and veneers are eco-certified and FSC® rated.
The Monument Collection is inspired by my experience of monumental architecture while travelling through Europe and the Americas. The M-Coffee Table is my interpretation of the Pantheon in Rome and the oculus that beams light through its beautiful domed ceiling.
